I love my work. It’s a privilege to walk with people who are doing the best they can as they find strengths and tools within themselves to reckon with their stories and own their challenges and triumphs. There is no more humbling moment for me than hearing “I need help.” It’s brave. It’s a revolution.
I moved to the Central Coast in October, 2014. Having lived in Duluth, MN for the previous 17 years, I was excited to be in a place so temperate and lacking in below zero temperatures. I have worked in many different settings, from outpatient clinics to grief support centers to eating disorder clinics.
What I have found in my work is that everyone has something they are struggling with. Everyone has a story. All of these stories are worth being heard and held. And, the beauty of the work that we will do together is that we will work to understand the story in new ways, we will work to help you own your story with self-compassion and non-judgment, and we will walk together to a place where you can re-write the ending to line up better with your own values.
